What do you think about when hear the statement, "For where your going and for the greatness that is coming your way; you have to take steps back to prepare you for what is to come." When I first heard that it threw me off, but made sense at the same time. To know that sometime for you to be launched to where your headed, you have to be pulled back.
Currently life has been very interesting for me the last few months. This particular season is what I am calling my "JOB" season. The reason I am calling it that is because I feel like everything in my life right now is being taken one thing at a time. It is a feeling I can't explain and the pain behind it at times makes it hard to understand, but three things I continue to hold on to is: my Faith, my Joy and my Peace. It doesn't make sense and at times I don't know what to do, but I trust that God will continue to do what it is He needs to do in my life and I will never turn my back on my Jesus.
I am realizing that in this moment in life, its a choice to stay positive and remain hopeful no matter what it may look like. It is definitely hard to keep a perspective like that, but what I realize is it allows you to keep a peace that no person can give you.
There are a few points that stand out to me in this season and things that must take place to get through it: 1. Keep Learning, 2. Don't Quit, 3. Keep Seeking God, and 4. Obey. Point one is because there is always something we are suppose to be learning when we are going through things in life; good or bad, we must always ask the question: "What should I be learning or gaining from this?" Point two is significant so that we always know that we need to persevere and push through. When we endure through, it allows us to appreciate the blessing that much more. Then when we become victorious, it allows God to get all the glory because it was all Him that got us through. If we quit we will never know what we could of have and where we could be.
Point three is the key. The moment we try and do it on our own, then God no longer can be in control because we took the driver seat from Him. When we allow ourselves to keep seeking Him no matter what for wisdom, knowledge, understanding, clarity, direction, joy, or whatever it is we are standing in prayer for; it allows God to be God and He will show up and provide. Finally point four. Once God shows us and makes it clear to us or tells us what to do, then all we have to do in put in action and obey what He has asked. When we obey, He does the rest. We have to realize that all these things start with us first.
Reflection Moment: no matter how hard this moment may be for me, I wont give up. I will trust God no matter what. Even if I lose everything and He wants me to start over, that is just what I will have to do. I don't understand all of this, but I know later on it will be revealed why I have to go through this process. I do know one thing, that these moments are building my testimony and that what I am going through is not just for me, but to witness and encourage someone else one day!
