Question: Have any of you ever saw something that you spoke out or even thought of in your head and all of a sudden it actually happened in your life? Whether good or bad?
I ask this question because it shows us how powerful our words are. Like it says in the scripture Proverbs 18:21- "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit." This reminds us that whatever we speak will come to pass. If we speak life; fruitful and positive things will happen for us. If we speak death, negative things will happen in our lives.
For many of us it is easy to complain, gossip, talk negatively about our lives and find something wrong with everything. The moment we decide to change out mentality and our perspective, it will gradually begin to make us change our words; which will then begin to change our lives. When we speak with confidence, belief and trust in what we feel in our heart; it will come out and show in our life. Our words have power with people and circumstances, but we have to see are we using our words for good or for bad, to empower or to tear down. There is always a result for the words we speak.
If we are not happy with how our life is, lets look at ourselves and look at what we are doing about it. Are we speaking the right words over our life and over our situations. We have to look at what action and work are we putting in and towards our life. We cant just talk about it, but put action behind it. Like we say; we know a person by their fruit. So we have to ask ourselves sometime, what kind of fruit our we showing and do we have in our life?
The Challenge- for the next month, lets challenge ourselves to speak life over our situations, relationships, finances and our life in general. Lets see if we don't complain and speak positive words, if our life will begin to change.
Final Thought: we have the ability to change our attitude, mentality, the way we speak, the way we act, and even the way we respond to people and circumstances. That is called self-control. We are in control of ourselves, but ultimately God is in control of our lives if we allow Him to be. When we do our part, He will do His in our life. Lets continue to speak life. Our words are powerful and they can be used for impact and change; if we just believe.
God Bless
