Intro Blog to Power of 5 Video Series- "Behind the Masks"
Video Series for May
I first want to take a moment to thank you to all those who watched the first power of 5 video series and/or read the blog for "You Were Made for This". I appreciate the support and the feedback that was given. I hope this next series blesses you just as much, if not even more.
The series for this month will be focused on the idea of: "Behind the Masks"! The reason this is the focus for the month because it was heavy on my heart a few months ago when looking at social media, reflecting on myself and talking to a few people; I realized how easy it is to hide behind a phone, social media and a smile.
When I think about "masks" I look at that as: a job, low self-esteem, a mentality, money, clothes, material things, saying your ok when your not and anything that allows you to hide how you truly feel and who you really are.
In this series, we will be breaking down different kind of masks that we may hide behind and how we can overcome those things, so that we can be set free and continue to move forward in our lives being content, satisfied, happy and true to one self.
One thing I realize is when I simply share my testimony and things I been through it allows transparency and realness to form with the people I am speaking to. I am learning not to be ashamed of my mistakes or the things I have been through. None of what I have gone through has broken me and I have no reason to be embarrassed, guilty or unsure of who I am today.
Thought: If we don't learn to love ourselves first, it will always be a challenge for others to love us. Be honest and transparent about you struggles or the things you deal with. You never know who you can be a witness to that can completely change and encourage someone else's life. Then when we allow ourselves to be open with our challenges in our lives, it allows the chains that the enemy wants to keep on us; off of us because we choose to keep our self free by sharing what we been through. You cant be bound when you are walking in freedom! We have to continue to speak life over our self and over our lives. There is power when we speak, so lets learn to speak what we want and what we destined to be and where we want to go. When you speak it, then believe it, then when you believe it; walk it out by applying it daily to your life.
Let’s journey together through this series and I pray all of our lives are changed and impacted in some way at the end of this. Just know you are not alone and there are people around you that are willing and wanting to go through life with you. We are in this together! If you have questions or comments throughout this series please feel free to contact me at any time.
Much love and God bless,
Bry Williams
